My best friend came to town this weekend. It was a complete surprise and we had a blast! We've known eachother since we were 11 years old (I won't say how many years ago that was...). We've been there for eachother through school, guys, marriage, children, injury, cancer, infertility, life, death and everything in between. It's nice to a friend who's there no matter what and you know will listen even if you complain about your new pants. She and her wonderful family will be moving to the DFW area in a few weeks and I'm so excited. We left them in Arizona 4 years ago and look forward to living within an hour of them again. Yeah!
The boys had a great time with her kids and loved holding her new baby. Ryan played peek-a-boo with Steven, and tried his hardest to make him laugh. Steven smiled at Ryan's antics but his 5 year old humor was lost on the 6 month old.
Then, all four kids got together for a popcorn party and watched 'Lilo and Stitch' while the grown ups played apples to apples. They had a great time together. Ryan and Natalie have spoken to eachother on the phone but have never met in person before. It was fun to watch them playing together and how concerned he was when her mom gave her medication at nighttime.
