Poor Ryan is running a high fever and has been for 2 days now. Yesterday it got as high as 104 and today it's hanging out around 101. Last night he freaked me out by telling me this...
"Mommy, my neck sure hurts." My initial reaction was, of course, panic but we decided to wait since he was still running around crazily and not showing other signs to be very concerned about so we watched him and waited. Last night was no fun. I got up a couple times to check on him to see if he were running a fever and still doing ok. This morning he had a low grade 99 degree fever and after 10am it seemed like he was on the mend. Just now his fever spiked again to 101. My main concern right now is not that he's running a fever it's more along the lines of how often he's been running a fever in the past 6 months. A healthy 6 year old boy shouldn't have an ear infection or throat infection every other week. I'm taking him to the doctor this week to see what's going on inside his little body that's making him get sick so often. Especially since prior to last November Ryan hadn't been sick for 2 years so this is completely abnormal for him.
